Visitor Information

BART, SHUTTLE BUS & PARKING INFORMATION BELOW:

Berkeley Lab (LBNL) Visitor Information:

BART - Go to: BART Schedules and Quick Planner.

If you fly into OAK or SFO we suggest BART to transport you to and from Berkeley. Transportation from SFO/OAK Airports to Berkeley via BART:

SFO Airport to Downtown Berkeley BART:

Much easier than traveling by car. From the SFO International Terminal, take the Richmond bound train to the downtown Berkeley exit -- not the North Berkeley exit, and not the Ashby exit, just the Downtown Berkeley exit. Get off at the Berkeley exit, go up the stairs to the street level and locate the Bank of America across the street (corner of Center and Shattuck). Head towards the bank and walk north on Shattuck towards the main bus stop area — the shuttle bus stop is marked for Berkeley Lab and is in front of the Sandwich Zone shop, just past the bank. Wait for a marked Laboratory shuttle bus which will bring you directly to Berkeley Lab (see the directions for using our shuttle. See other transit information here).

OAK Airport to Downtown Berkeley BART:

From the OAK International terminal, take the AirBart tram to the Coliseum BART Station. Take a Richmond bound BART Train from the Coliseum Station to the Downtown Berkeley BART Station -- not the North Berkeley exit, and not the Ashby exit, just the Downtown Berkeley exit. To return to OAK, take a Fremont or Dublin/Pleasanton bound train to the Coliseum station then transfer to the AirBART to OAK train at Platform 3.
